What We're All AboutThe Student Leader Union is a student-run 501(c)3 non-profit organization devoted to the advancement of student leadership skills. SLU empowers students to take on the challenge of leadership through seminars, conferences, in-school chapters, and real-life leadership opportunities. SLU doesn't only teach teens -- it believes in teens. SLU gives students both the power and the responsibility to take up leadership.
SLU believes strongly in what we like to call the 4 P's -- The Power of Positive Peer Pressure. The idea behind the 4 P's is that social scientists and researchers have observed the negative effects of peer pressure for years -- drug use, underage drinking, bullying, etc. But what if students could use that power for good? What if the youth climate encouraged positive community action. SLU gives teens the leadership skills to harness the 4 P's and use it for good. Who We Are |
